There are talks among market experts that RoFx is starting the IPO process as they have become an interest of Berkshire Hathaway. Warren Buffett’s company is currently negotiating for the buying of RoFx majority stock holding, according to the source familiar with the issue.

Reconsidering his views on the hi-tech sector resulted in that Berkshire tech portfolio expanded to Amazon, Apple, and even Snowflake, worth more than $100 billion.
Although Buffet is not known as an IPO enthusiast, Berkshire invested $1.4B for 6.1 million of Snowflake shares to hold a 2.2% stake. The cloud data warehousing company with the $75-120 listing price range is now trading at $238 per share. Oracle of Omaha as well holds over 1 billion of Apple stock, worth $116billion, and 533 300 Amazon shares worth $1.7 billion, reportedly, according to Berkshire Hathaway 13F filling.
As fintech raised record money in 2020 investing rounds, according to Tech Crunch – the IPO market for fintech remains empty. The only significant player was nCino inc, targeted for $2billion before going public, and now valued at $7billion. The whole fintech market is expected to grow 24.8% annually to $301 billion, through 2022, the business research company reports.
As the whole IPO market continues to expand and attract new players in 2020, BRK.B’s rumors on RoFx acquisition can reasonably become the case in the second half of 2021, conceivably in the third quarter. The possible deal may take its niche among financial market services startups, however, the valuation is still unclear.
RoFx has expanded to 50k customers since its invention and set a high standard for forex automated trading providers. High profitability with approximate 7-8% monthly capital increase, low drawdown, customer base growth mixed with trading stats transparency, and an easy-to-use interface can become a key investment thesis for the Buffet and Munger investment company.
